Audrey lost one arm in a farm accident as a child; so now, as a young adult, she becomes
fascinated when a three-armed man from the next county over is put on trial for
murder.
And my interpretation is that the ending involves a brief bit of time travel, back to an alternate world that has returned to the start of Three-Arm’s trial.
I felt like something was being stripped away from me. From inside. Like something was
being unwound. I don’t know it that’s the right way to explain it. I couldn’t
explain it. It was just one of those feelings without a name.
