The Time Traveler
This short black-and-white homage to
The Twilight Zone of the 60s finds
Cold-War-era test pilot Carter Cartwright’s as a stressed-out Air Force time traveler
whose marriage has frayed to the point where his wife is ready to leave. Naturally, he
takes matters into his own hands with one last trip that’s designed to set things right
with Bonnie. I didn’t follow what happened in that trip, although do I have one idea
involving a
self-defeating act)—but I’m not confident enough
in my interpretation to do anything but let you come to your own conclusions.
The
cinematographer, Dillon Morris, posted the
film on his Vimeo channel in May of 2009 and indicated that it was his senior thesis
project at Chapman University.

My, my: time travel, satellites, technicolor. What will these screwy scientists think of
next?
