The Clockwork Man
by E. V. Odle
A peculiar man with mechanical mannerisms appears at a cricket match spouting nonsense
and later causing headaches throughout the village until Dr. Allingham finally talks to
him and discovers that the origin of the man with clockwork devices implanted in his head
is some 8000 years in the future.
“Perhaps I ought to explain,” he continued. “You see, I’m a clockwork man.”
