Indexer Notes

(2)
  1. Release—The IMDb lists the earliest release as being in London on 23 July 1936, but does not indicate whether this was a theatrical release or some kind of formal premiere. However, based Korda: Britain’s MOvie Mogul, page 144, it seems that the late July release was the theatrical release (a “month” after a 4 July preview) that fared “extremely poorly at the box office” and caused Wells to dispair that he was “more than a little disappointed with films.”
  2. Credits—from the film and the IMDb
    [list]
[*] screenplay by Lajos Biró [uncredited in the film, but noted in the IMDb]

[*] produced by Alexander Korda [as credited in the film, but IMDb notes that he also directed some scenes, so we list Korda as an uncredited director]
[*] directed by Lothar Mendes [as credited in the film]
