Teenage witch Marnie Piper has a mom (who doesn’t want her to carry on in the witch
tradition), a grandma (Debbie Reynolds, who wants to take her on as an apprentice), and Kal
(a cute guy hanging around who turns out to be the son of the family nemesis). When Marnie
gets trapped by Kal in the dimension of Halloweentown, she and her troll friend Luke use time
travel to escape; later they use a black-holeish “timeline” to get back to the present
and save the day.
