Please, please, please set aside two hours to watch the original “The Trouble with Tribbles” (Star Trek [s2e15]) followed immediately by this episode of ST:DS9. You will laugh, you will cry, you will cheer with joy, as Sisko and the DS9 crew find themselves back with Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Klingons, and tribbles at Deep Station K-7 on Stardate 4523.7.
—Michael Main
Kirk: [pacing in front of a lineup of the crew] Who started the fight?
O’Brien: I don’t know, sir.

Oedipal Time Travel: Bashir: Watley? That was my great-grandmother’s name.
O’Brien: Funny . . .
Bashir:: And I think she was in Starfleet.
O’Brien: It’s a common enough name.
Bashir:: But what if that was her?
O’Brien: Huh, do you realize the odds?
Bashir:: No one ever met my great-grandfather. This could be a predestination paradox! Come on, Chief, surely you took elementary temporal mechanics at the academy. I could be destined to fall in love with that woman . . . and become . . . my . . . own . . . great . . . grandfather?!
O’Brien: You’re being ridiculous.
Bashir:: Ridiculous?! If I don’t meet with her tomorrow, I may never be born!
Kira:: [on communicator] Chief, are you ready for transport?
O’Brien: [to communicator] Are we ever.
Kira:: [on communicator] Stand by.
Bashir: You saw the way she looked at me. You can’t just dismiss this.
O’Brien: [long past being fed up] I can try.
Bashir: [throws up hands] All right! Fine! But I can’t wait to get back to Deep Space Nine and see your face when you find out that I never existed![/i]
O’Brien: [snorts as they beam out].. - Self-Visitation: Although not shown, it’s possible that Darvin met himself..
