Cindy Lau’s mother died when Cindy was young, motivating adult Cindy to invent time travel
in order to spend as much time as possible with her mother before the death.
Nobody thought Cindy would devote her life to studying the nature of time solely to fill
the hold in her heart, even as she immersed herself in the subject during the last year
of her undergrad degree. Nobody believed she would succeed when the mechanics of temporal
movement had eluded some of the greatest minds in physics.
