No, I don’t understand Benjamin Rosenbaum’s stories any more than you do (and quite
possibly no more than the author does), but the fact remains that I like the images in his
writing (such as “Droplet”), and in “Elsewhere” I detected something that could be
time travel as much as Anything Else. And foolish you thought I never fell for abstract art.
That’s how they beat the time-skew problem: Not Very would express sentiments and
opinions aloud, then shuffle through the images to find those which contained (and had
always already contained) Unlike Themselves’ responses.
