While playing Santa on the roof, avowed Christmas hater Jorge takes a fall that results in
him waking up every Christmas with no memories of what happened since the last Christmas.

Teu avô disse que eu ainda ia descobrir pra que serve o Natal. Foi você, né, sue
velho?
He did it! Two days ago he said I’d find out what Christmas is all about! You cursed me,
didn’t you, old man?

Memory Wipes: The plot turns on Jorge’s unusual conditioin that on every Christmas, he can remember nothing since the previous Christmas, although on other days his memory appears complete.
Resetting Time As If the Story Never Took Place: Although it could all be a dream, we take the film at face value, assuming that Grandpa sent Jorge back to the start, with only Jorge remembering the future Christmases.
From Christmas Eve, twenty years or so in the future ⋙ to Christmas Eve in 2010. Note: Most of Jorge’s transitions appear to be a simple loss of the previous year’s memories, but in the end Jorge is returned from the last Christmas Eve back to the first one in 2010.
